Is this a real question? Everything. The Middle House is the definition of a five star hotel.

The immaculately-designed lobby. (The art. The furniture. The zen vibes. Etc.) Actually, everything about the lobby. But especially the CHANDELIER.

All three restaurants are seriously sublime. I’m still full.

The bar at Café Gray Deluxe is liiiit at night. Really good fashionable people watching. Go out onto the terrace and get your drink on with the fashion-y cuties while taking in/Instagramming the breathtaking Shanghai skyline.

I got a great facial at the MI XUN spa. And I had my fat vacuumed away in the HYPOXI room whilst clad in one of their cupping-suction suits.

Three fantastic restaurants. Café Gray Deluxe = European yummy dishes, fantastic cocktails, great space. Just as great as the Café Gray Deluxe at The Upper House in Hong Kong. Frasca = Italian restaurant with to-die-for dishes brought to life by Chef Stefano Pace. Ingredients sourced fresh from local family farms. Great cocktails, wine and Italian beers. Sui Tang Li = SO GOOD Chinese restaurant (with its name aptly meaning “happy, free and relaxed”). Chef Tony Yet, who has more than 20 years’ experience, serves the best of artisan Dim Sum. A menu featuring contemporary dishes influenced by Shanghainese, Sichuan and Cantonese regional cuisines. It’s a mouth-watering must.

Yes, at all three restaurants. In the evening at Café Gray Deluxe, the crowd is quite hip and fun. In the summer, I suggest drinking it up on the lovely terrace. (Reminder: CITY VIEWS.)
