We’re bang in the middle of Havana’s old town.

Excursion to El Nicho. This is about the point my blood turned to rum.

The main atrium. Pretty epic, especially after a 10 hour flight and a couple dozen sleeping pills. This courtyard leads out to the piano bar ‘Maragato’ and the restaurant ‘Floridana.’

Mr Richard Danks working from the elegant lobby. The chequered marble was almost pornographic.

Hotel Florida don’t really fuck about in terms of grandeur.

All marble everything.

Obligatory hotel bathroom selfie.

Havana essentials. Rum and toothpaste is the new gin and juice.

Attention-seeking marble woman.

Highs & Lows

  • The interiors of the rooms and the atrium are phenomenal example of colonial Havana architecture. You can literally feel the history.

  • They will gladly help book lunch, dinner, excursions etc. from the lobby.

  • The breakfast was standard, not special
