Highs & Lows

  • The private sauna in my bathroom was definitely a high! It was perfectly sized for a single individual and got hot in a jiffy.

  • Room service was shockingly prompt. Make sure to order when you are truly ready to chow down.

  • The communal areas throughout the hotel were gorgeous. The designers rich, respective cultures overlap to create a warm, inviting and visually interesting space.

  • What I really enjoyed about the interiors at the Greenwich Hotel was that it felt ancient. There were all of the comforts and amenities of the current day - a smart TV, perfectly fast wifi, sanitized remotes and phones etc. But walking to my room still felt like I was navigating a medieval fort, and the common spaces on the main floor of the hotel incorporated elements from Japan and Northern Europe in equal parts. The decor was a meeting of worlds and pulled off with sensitivity and grace.

  • The price is surely not for the faint of heart!

One of the chicest zip codes in New York, Tribeca's lofts are homes to the artists and writers who made New York a cultural center in the 80s and 90s. Now an enclave for the uber rich as well, the neighborhood offers some of the finest food and entertainment to be found in the city. The streets are wide, clean and inviting and extremely quiet at night - a rarity in such a loud city.
